A farm animal liberates scientific browsing
Posted May 23rd, 2007 by Davide
The always resourceful and unofficial Google Operative System blog, reports about Docufarm, a new site that allows to view with ease on-line documents that are normally problematic to handle.
Personally, I search for and watch a lot of PDF files every day with my browser. The official Adobe Reader comes with a plug-in that transparently embeds to web-browsers, but this plug-in is notoriously unstable. It used to hang, crash and burn a lot in the past, nowadays it just bogs down the browser, especially when first reading-in the PDF document selected.
The Docufarm solution works much better, especially as it comes with a Firefox add-on (or extension), thanks to which one can click on any PDF link without having to hold his breath. read more »
