This week is pretty busy at work.
I need to prepare a presentation for Friday. In this presentation I'll have to report to the group on current and near future work for my team.

Then I have to dish out some plan for a year-long project. I started today and, well, I didn't even know what software to use ! Eventually I settled for GanttProject as most people seem to dislike MS Project.. but GanttProject does have a few bugs and the features seem to be lacking. It's pretty good, but still.. I would like at least to custom color the background of the columns for example..

Anyhow it's interesting to schedule projects. In this case there is a lot of wild guessing to do. So, I take the outline (divided by year's quarters) from my boss and I progressively add more details in a hierarchical fashion.
Many details will be missing, some things will require more time, some less time but still, if you don't at least try to plan things, they may never get done 8)

Another thing I have to do this week, well for tomorrow, it's a new attempt to study math in our group. It's mostly going to be useful for those that aren't programmers (but certainly also always for programmers as well !) but because it's in Japanese for me it's mostly a Japanese language study.
In fact this time the appointed "teachers" are me and a Japanese colleague. My role for now is to translate the terms in English by tomorrow (almost 1 AM here !) and then work in concert with the coworker to somehow teach math+English+Japanese depending on the individuals 8)

外国人たちにはちょっときついかもしれない。

However to us foreigners it's probably a bit of an issue.

自分だったら、そとにあまり集中はできない。どこへ見ても、セクシーな女の子が居るんだ！
普通で、日本人より外国人の方が筋肉や毛が多い。しかも、外人の方が攻撃的なタイプだ。
つまり、外人たちの方がテストステロンが高い。

Myself, when I go outside, I find it hard to concentrate. Wherever I look, I see sexy girls !
Normally Japanese have less muscle and body hair than foreigners. Also, foreigners are definitely more aggressive types.

最近、突然ミクシィをやめました。
理由は、大体、彼女の文句をしたから、その次の強い意見も彼女に影響してしまった。つまり、ミクシィに噂を起こる可能性が以上に高い（特に日本語下手なら(^^;;)）。
だから、最近、だんだんミクシィのことはあまり好きじゃなくなってしまった。今は「ミクシィ疲れ」の言葉は分かってる！

Tonight I had the TV running in background on the NHK, the national TV channel.
A Korean language study started and ended.. I was busy with my PC. Then the Russian language program comes.. and suddenly I want to learn Russian !!
Every language study program on NHK has some more or less fixed famous people as guests. For the Russian program the guest is Emi Kobayashi, hands down the best guest ever !!!
He breasts looked strangely large for a Japanese and she was wearing a short skirt.. I was hooked to the program ! Yes ! I mean.. Da ! Da !!

It turns out that Emi Kobayashi (小林 恵美) is indeed some popoular figure which has some popoular shapes !

Durex reports of about 26000 on-line interviews in which people were asked intimate questions about their sexual activity.
The results put Japan right in the last place when it comes to frequency of sexual intercourse !!! Japanese are know abroad for being "perverts" by some parameters, but they also get pretty tired working long hours.
Married women usually stay at home to take care of the children but, from the complaints I hear, it seems that they also don't have much sex drive once married.. and frankly even some young girls aren't so interested in sex.
But it's really a mixed bag. When compared to Italian girls, Japanese girls are more open towards sex shops for example. Also I've heard of some cases or chikan in which it's the women that touch the men...  read more »

As Mr.Duddie noticed, I've scanned a few pages from the April edition of Woman magazine !
I obviously don't buy those magazines, but so it happens that I had that magazine laying around my apartment.

It's interesting how the magazine gives hints on how to dress, how to bow, where to look at, how to answer, even how to smile !

It may seem weird, but I somewhat agree with the concept of getting hints on how to behave. Everyone at one time or another doesn't realize how he or she is making a mistake. Some people stink, some have bad breath, some people have bad habits but don't realize that.  read more »
