iSee but not Touch !

Sunday I will be going for work to the US again. This time around in Arizona.. my first time there !

I almost got used to flying long hours, but often I end up on older planes with no individual LCD display (United Airlines) and when I have the LCD display, it's still pretty crappy to watch, though my noise canceling headphones help a lot on the audio side.

iPod Touch is out and this could be a good reason to buy one.. only that it seems one can't really upload and read PDF files on it !
Someone suggests running an exploit to break the iPod Touch will and force it to host the Apache web server so that one can use the web browser display the PDF files that are being served somewhere from http://localhost.

I'm definitely reluctant as it seems like a complex thing to do for someone that just wants to relax on a plane and it's about breaking the software on a brand new product. Also at 320x480 pixels, the iPod Touch's screen is probably not really up to the task of displaying text. More resolution is needed for that.
Nonetheless, with so much hardware goodness and portability it's a real shame to think that one has to be limited to use it as a media player and web browser.
It seems that the iPhone and iPod Touch's SDK is coming in February next year. This should definitely open some doors, as a user and maybe possibly even as a developer.. where there is a new popular platform, there is possibly some business to do.. ..speaking of which I downloaded the OS X DevKit but haven't installed it yet !

woo !!!
