Exploration Of Music
I have never been listening to any particular genre of music however I when I start to like one song I usually try to listen to complete discography of the artists. This way in past I have discovered Sisters of Mercy, RMB and Tori Amos which became my all time favourite artists.
Recently (due to my reconvalescence period after operation) I had more time to catch up on listening to music.
I must say that I am not a big fan of Bruce Springsteen but I liked many of his songs in past. Since his recent album "Magic" was all over the media and press releases I have decided to give it a try. Just to not waste anyone time I will say quickly: It's just plain crap.
On the other side there is this beautiful new album of Tori Amos which is just fantastic. Last two or three albums of Tori were not anything special, just solid, good music. However "American Doll Posse" catches attention immediately. I have started it to play in background and it become foreground music for next few hours stopping me from doing anything else.
Electronic music is always good for me as I can just play it in background and keep working. I could not find any interesting music last year. There were great exceptions, like Gabriel and Dresden release with fantastic voice of Molly Bancroft on a few records from their album "Gabriel and Dresden". Molly Bancroft has a great chance to cut her way into show business as Carla Werner did after she was featured on fantastic album of Paul Oakenfold many years ago. Carla Werner made a great album and it stays in my favourites. So let's hope for Molly Bancroft. But speaking of Carla Werner, last year Jakob Carrison made a great remix of Southern Sun. Seems this song became timeless classic and we will hear many remixes in coming years.
But back to electronica... For last year releases for sure Junior Boys with their second album made a very nice comeback. Also Fujiya and Miyagi presented world with some decent sounds. But as last year was dry then this year is even worse. However in a last few days I have discovered a very nice new album... Assemblage 23 has released a new album called "Meta". Tom Shear (Assemblage 23 frontman) delivers good electronic sounds connected with his dark voice. Maybe it is not album of the year, bur definitely it brings something fresh into very flat, low-level noise that electronic became recently.

what operation? duddoxorz
what operation?
duddoxorz was sick?
Nothing serious!
Just double sided hernia... :) And I should write report about this operation, because they did not put me into full anaesthetic (sleep) but just gave me injection in back bone. Crazy thing, because I did not feel any pain but still could have feeling (sensation) of someone sticking hands inside me. I must admit it works on imagination :)
