V5 ?
I've been thinking about changing this site once again.
The main reason is that I notice some things not working quite as good anymore. Mostly having problems with the site not remembering my login (cookies I guess ?). Also the "Recent comments" area isn't up to date for non-registered users.
I suspect that this also depends on cookies and also on Drupal cache (which I have disabled anyway).
I'm thinking about moving back to Blogger which in the meantime has matured. It's easy now to redirect a sub-domain to Blogger (for example v5.kazzuya.com..) and user comments are finally embeddable to the blog entry's page (finally !!!).. also users can comment with their own Google accounts.. including myself of course.
The main problem would be to move the blog entries from Drupal to Blogger.. but I gave up on that already. I'd simply freeze v4.kazzuya.com and put a big link on top to redirect to the newest blog instead.. like I did for v3.kazzuya.com
I'm not sure what to do with kazzuya.com though. Right now it automatically redirects to the latest blog, but perhaps I should instead convert it to a master page with a big link to the latest blog and a list of previous blogs..
blog blog blog !!!

WordPress
Hey Davide,
Have you tried using WordPress? It's a pretty awesome system with a nice web interface. While it won't exactly solve your issue of moving blog entries from Drupal to Blogger, it will make it so you don't have a mere redirect (and thus no changing from kazzuya.com to xyz.blogspot.com) since everything would be on your server. It's all PHP with a MySQL backend, and has a really easy install process. Once installed, you only have to use the web interface to make posts, changes, etc. Part of the power is that it has a Plug-in architecture, and there are tons of plug-ins out there that are incredibly useful. I used to have account but have recently been evaluating WordPress and am planning to use it from now on. Alternatively, they have a version of WordPress that you don't have to host yourself and is all free, too.
It's also very reliable, and lots of companies use it including CNN, Time, Sony Computer Entertainment, The New York Times, etc. I'm not sure if it's exactly what you want, but it's worth a look.
WP vs Blogger
Thanks for the suggestion. I was actually using WordPress for http://v3.kazzuya.com .
Then I wanted something more like a CMS (Content Management System) and I switched to Drupal (which I now fear upgrading)
In the meantime, WordPress has grown and it could probably replace the features that I used in this site.
However I sort of dream of a 0-maintenance world where I don't have to worry at all about upgrading the thing or have to remember a MySQL password.
Same goes for the users/friends that would have to create yet another account for yet another site of mine (I wouldn't want to do that myself).
Using Blogger, people can be identified (if they want to) by their GMail account (which I assume most tech-savvy people already have 8).
Another nice thing about Blogger is that it already supports custom domains and finally "inline" comments.. something that it should have had a long time ago.
I'm still not sure, but for the time being I setup a test over at http://v5.kazzuya.com
..I guess overall I just wish to get rid of any sort of installation, upgrade, new accounts/passwords and worries about backups.
I gave up on relocating posts, because it would get even more complex with comments and I value those too 8)
